Music > Musical Neighbours by Billy

Note: Statistics are based on UK chart performances.

Part Three: Miscellaneous

Nicola Charles Sarah Beaumont Hannay
Erinsborough's saucy secretary composed and recorded an album way back in 1999 entitled Listening In Colour. Although Charles obviously had the looks and popularlity to begin her music career, for some reason the album was shelved and never saw a release.

Fiona Corke, Annie Jones, Nick Carrafa Gail Robinson, Jane Harris, Tony Romeo
The three actors formed three quarters of the band Albie Wild And The Dayglos, who released one single Hey Ciao which was sung in Italian.

Stephen Hunt Matt Hancock
In between swimming across channels and working for the government, Hunt has his own band The Methuselahs, and regularly does gigs around the UK.

Paul Keane Des Clarke
Local loser Des Clarke worked briefly as a drummer in a band (name unknown).

Benjamin Mitchell Cameron Hudson
Mitchell plays guitar and sings vocal for band Tin Canal.

Jaime Robbie Reyne Taj Coppin
Reyne moved to England shortly after leaving Neighbours and has been performing in many pubs and clubs. His self-composed material has received some positive feedback, even more so after it transpired he had turned down a conventional record deal.

George Spartels Benito Alessi
Spartels had been working on Play School for seven years before joining Neighbours and remained as a presenter on the show until 1999. He has made several recordings intended for children, as well as appearing the 1972 Australian cast of Godspell.

Mark Stevens Nick Page
Stevens crooned his way through Christmas With the Neighbours back in '89, and a major record label showed interest in him shortly afterwards. After the release of single This Is The Way To Heaven, which failed to chart, negotiations fell through and the recorded album sadly never saw a release.

Kym Valentine Libby Kennedy
Valentine has stated several times that she never wants to release a record due to the stigma attached to being a Neighbours star and having a pop career. This is despite the fact she has an extremely beautiful voice. Before she left Neighbours to appear on stage in Dirty Dancing, Valentine sang regularly at her local pub every other Thursday.

Madeleine West Dee Bliss Rebecchi
West signed a deal with music mogul Ralph Carr, who helped carve the career of one of Australia's most successful singers, Tina Arena. No material has been recorded as yet, as West is still focused on her acting and stand-up comedy, but never say never!

Andrew Williams Guy Carpenter
Williams recorded an album with company Wetside, makers of TV soap E Street. However the company went bust before any of his material was released.
