Celia

Following the failure of Joe Mangel’s marriage to Melanie, Joe began a new relationship with country girl Celia. Joe and Celia shared their farm house with Joe’s son Toby and his adoptive teenage daughter Sky. When Celia became pregnant in 2003, the couple decided to get engaged, but Sky struggled to adjust to the changes in her family. While Joe and Toby were out cattle mustering, Sky left for the Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough to visit her grandfather Harold Bishop.

In 2005 Joe visited Sky for her 18th birthday, but she soon realised that Joe was in no hurry to return home to the country. Sky rang Celia to find out why and discovered that Joe had been kicked out for becoming lazy. Joe stayed in Erinsborough for several months and began seeing Lyn Scully; his relationship with Celia was over.
