Amanda Cooper 2002
Occupation: Caterer

Whilst sitting alone in Lou’s pub one day, Stuart Parker was approached by a woman named Amanda Cooper, who claimed that her friend had just cancelled on her. Stuart asked her to join him and they got chatting, realising that they both worked for the same catering company – him at the hospital, and her at the high school. As he later left the pub, Amanda took a picture out of her bag, of Stuart posting shirtless for the Men of Erinsborough calendar, and smiled to herself. A few days later, they met for another drink, and Stuart introduced Amanda to his friend Steph Scully, who listened as Amanda raved on about how wonderful Stuart was. But later, Stuart was distracted when Steph’s younger sister, Flick, walked into the pub. Stuart had been secretly in love with her for months and Amanda, noticing the change of mood, suggested going back to his place to plan the next date.

There, she asked him about his mood swings, but he just suggested going out for dinner, but things changed when Stuart’s friend Drew Kirk died suddenly. Spotting Flick in the Coffee Shop one day, Amanda approached her and said that it was good that Stuart had lots of friends around him. Flick confirmed that she and Stu were just friends, and Amanda told her about how she’d seen Stuart in the calendar and decided that she wanted to be more than just friends with him. They all arranged to go and see a film that evening, and when Amanda arrived at the pub for drinks, she struggled to join in with the in-jokes. As the evening wore on, Amanda realised that Flick and Stu were perfect for each other, and, intending to go and order more drinks, she instead decided to go home and leave them to it.
