After marrying Boyd Hoyland, Janae started looking into finding them a rental property of their own. She wagged school to meet with real estate agent Thomas Griggs and tried flirting with him to get the price knocked down, but their meeting was witnessed by Boyd’s father, Max, who wrongly believed that his son was being cheated on. After realising his mistake, Max tried to make it up to them by meeting with Thomas and offering to go guarantor for them, but when he accidentally mentioned that Janae was 16, and therefore not old enough to rent, he blew the whole thing.
