Born in 2001 to Australians Peter and Sarah Hannay, Antigone was raised in the UK, although her parents had begun their newly married life in Amsterdam. Peter and Sarah separated soon after Antigone was born, and in 2003, Sarah and daughter moved to Norwich to make a new life for themselves.
