Federal Agent Greta Jackson 2014, 2015
Occupation: Federal Agent

Federal Agent Greta Jackson was assigned to the case when Detective Mark Brennan was forced into witness protection, after uncovering a corruption ring in the police force. After returning to normal civilian life in Erinsborough, Brennan got in touch with Greta when he suspected that new arrival in town Dakota Davies was up to no good. After hearing about Dakota's previous work with Sipac bank, Brennan recognised the name and looked online, realising that they had previously been suspected of having links with diamond smuggling cartels. Brennan got in touch with Greta to pass on the information, and though she was sceptical, she returned with the news that Dakota's name had indeed caused alarm bells to ring.

Greta asked Brennan to go undercover for her, befriend Dakota and see if he could find out what she was planning. After realising that Dakota was using bags of coffee beans - for the bar she was planning to open - to smuggle the diamonds into Australia, Brennan went back to Greta, and a raid was planned on the next delivery to the bar premises. Though Brennan was reluctant to continue to spend time with Dakota, as it was having a negative effect on his new relationship with girlfriend Paige, he agreed to help with the raid, but Dakota realised what was going on and managed to escape the country without being caught.

The following year, Brennan contacted Greta again, when his plans of building a case against criminal Dennis Dimato came to nothing, and his case was rejected by the Attorney General as there was little evidence against Dimato. Before his death the previous month, Senior Constable Matt Turner had also been working as a security guard for Dimato and had seen him handling stolen cars, but, desperate for money, had accepted a bribe to keep quiet. When Brennan found out, he agreed not to say anything, but told Matt to take a six-month sabbatical from the police force, warning that his evidence against Dimato might still be needed, so the truth could still come out. Desperate to catch Dimato, after he skipped bail and disappeared, Brennan realised that he'd now have to use Matt's written statement, potentially putting a black mark on the reputation of a dead man. Brennan also knew that telling Greta would mean that he might lose his own job, as he'd helped to cover up Matt's involvement. Greta agreed that she'd try to help, and when she came back to Brennan, she told him that, due to his excellent track record, he'd just be getting a reprimand from his sergeant. She also explained that the Dimato case was now ongoing, but she was unable to reveal any other details.
