When Paul Robinson found himself being blackmailed over a secret affair with one of his hotel employees, Kirsten Gannon, it wasn't long before one of the security team was found to have spotted them kissing on camera. Though he was promptly sacked, the blackmail continued, and Kirsten was then surprised when one of the reception staff, Yasmine, made a dig about Kirsten always getting the cushy jobs, because she was 'in' with the boss. Kirsten immediately went to Paul with her suspicions, and it emerged that, after six years of being a junior staff member and missing out on four promotions, Yasmine had got hold of the security tape and decided to get her own back. Paul offered her money to keep quiet, along with a transfer to another hotel. She then brought them the tape and they handed over the money but, during the meeting, Paul received a text message asking if he'd told his girlfriend Rebecca about the affair yet. With Yasmine sitting in front of them, insisting that she didn't have an accomplice, Paul realised that somebody else was out to get him - and it later turned out to be Paul's ex-wife Lyn Scully.
