Colac police constable Mark Phillips was already familiar with Scott 'Stingray' Timmins and his family from their days living in the town. When Stingray was arrested for his part in a service station robbery and given bail, he was desperate to clear his name and headed to Colac, where Roo Hausman, the criminal who had forced Scott and his brother Dylan into the crime, was hiding out. Unfortunately, Scott failed to find Roo and, the next morning, as he attempted to get back to Erinsborough in time for his court appearance, he was spotted by Constable Phillips and taken into remand.
