When vet Steve Parker brought home pregnant guinea pig Sally, hoping that looking after her would cheer up his depressed daughter Bridget, the plan worked, and Bridget was the only one around to help when Sally went into labour. Afterwards, Bridget was given the task of naming the firstborn pup as Steve nursed it, and she decided on the name Rex.
