Rowanoaks is a special care facility offering residential care. Current residents include Elaine Lawson who suffers from spinal degeneration having been diagnosed when her son, Rhys, was just 14, with her condition deteriorating in the years that followed leading to her requiring 24 hour care.

Rhys regularly visits his mother and occasionally arranges to take her out to the cinema.
