Born March 4th 1966 in Rome, Italy, Stephen Bastoni began his acting career with small television roles including Alex Baxter in Neighbours and Peter McCormack in Prisoner. His breakthrough role came in 1990, when he was cast in the drama series Police Rescue as Angel, a role he would continue to play for the show’s six-year run. Steve went on to have guest roles in series including Wildside, The Lost World, Beastmaster and Stingers as well as appearing as Soren in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003. Theatre roles over the years have included the role of Bill Sikes in the Australian touring production of Oliver!.
In early 2007, Steve returned to the Neighbours cast, this time in the regular role of Steve Parker, father of a new family being brought in as part of a revamp of the series. The character first appeared on Australian screens on July 23rd 2007.
Steve currently lives in Melbourne, after moving down from Sydney to take on his Neighbours role, with his wife, Bianca and their young son, Roman Edwin Raffaele.
