Recap
• Lori encourages Connor’s business venture to sell a hoard of unwanted T-shirts and prove Lou wrong
• Valda moves her things into the garage to give Joe and Lyn some space

No 26 - Kitchen: Lyn thinks that she and Joe should wait for Valda to get settled before decorating her old room for the baby, just for courtesy. Valda joins them, asking for permission to use the bathroom, and Lyn gets flustered about her treading lightly around them, saying that she should at least be living comfortably.

No 30 - Living Room: Lori and Connor are stashing the boxes of T-shirts, Lori complaining about Connor’s secrecy over their finances. They start bickering over shares when Toadie joins them, woken up from his lie-in, and asks why the boxes are there.

The Coffee Shop: Taj is attempting to study despite a group of girls laughing loudly at the next table. Libby enters with Ben, questioning why he is revising here, before he complains about her not teaching at the school any more. She agrees that it is unfair and leaves him to carry on.

No 30 - Living Room: Connor explains to a grumpy Toadie that the T-shirts will not be there for much longer, and he will get good money for them. Lori barters by suggesting that Toadie get some of the profits, irritating Connor and getting Toadie interested.

Lassiter's Reception: Tahnee joins Nina at the desk, asking for the key to the duty manager’s office. She explains that she wants to e-mail the photos of Afro Harold to Michelle, and tells Nina to stop being a goody-goody. Nina finally gives in and hands her the key.

Lou's Place: Valda greets Lou, wanting financial advice on looking for a new house. She is stunned by how much money she will need, having no savings with all her reckless spending. Lou looks concerned as she gives up on the idea and leaves.

Lassiter's Reception: Tahnee finally rejoins Nina after talking to Michelle online. She then offers Nina one of two movie passes that she took from the office, meant for employee’s bonuses. Nina refuses the stolen gift, and Tahnee confesses that she thought it would be nice for them to hang out as friends. She tells Nina that she has changed, but based on her actions just now, Nina will not believe her.

No 30 - Living Room: Lori has roped Connor into fashioning the T-shirt designs when he gets a call from Lou.

Lou's Place - Office: Lou asks for an update on Connor tailing Ruby, and Connor explains that he does not wish to do it anymore. Lou says that he does not like it either but it needs done, telling Connor to step on it.

No 30 - Living Room: Connor explains to Lori that he has to go out on a job just as Toadie rejoins them. Lori explains what they are doing and he reiterates that he is letting them use the house to store the T-shirts, not work on them. Connor leaves Lori to handle the argument.

Lou's Place - Office: Valda joins Lou, having been summoned by him, and he shows her a sheet that he drew up to help budget her savings. She thanks him, overcome by the gesture.

No 28 - Living Room: Libby answers the door to Taj, calling for help with his English assignments. He asks her to tutor him, starting right there and then as he is on a deadline. She happily agrees.

Gamblers Anonymous Hall - Exterior: Connor is parked across the street, with no sign of life outside the meeting. He calls Lou, explaining that nothing out of the ordinary has happened with Ruby so far. He fears that he will look dodgy following an older woman, refusing to do any more and hangs up on Lou.

No 28 - Living Room: Libby and Taj are going over a novel, which Taj does not comprehend. Possibly referring to her own experiences, Libby talks about the character’s loneliness and longing for someone new in her life, quickly catching herself on.

Lou's Place: Valda presents Lou with an expensive-looking wristwatch, saying that he deserves it regardless of the price. An angry Lou says that she has clearly learned nothing, which accidentally upsets her and she runs off.

No 26 - Living Room: Joe and Lyn are going over a letter to Michelle, when Lyn finds an e-mail in the message bank. She opens it to find the photos of Afro Harold, just as Valda returns in a state, and hurries to see what is wrong.

No 30 - Living Room: Lori praises Toadie on his T-shirt designs, having roped him in like Connor, just as Connor returns. Lori mentions that she has given Toadie some shares, upping her own in the process, and Connor looks put off.

No 26 - Kitchen: Lou has called to see Valda, and Joe and Lyn leave them to talk. He tells her that he returned the watch for a refund, saying that she is too generous and a good person deep down. Valda tears up again, saying that she is not upset about the money, but something much more terrible. Lou encourages her to talk, and she tells him that she is Lyn’s mother.
