Episode Title: Sin And Crispy
• Ned is stunned to learn that Mickey is his son
• Elle lies to Paul that she can’t call Gail for him
• Mickey questions why his mother called Ned her special friend
No 22 - Lounge: Ned fails to come up with an explanation for Mickey and Janae steps in to explain Ned was Kirsten’s first boyfriend which is why she called Ned special. Mickey leaves the room and Janae urges Ned to tell Mickey the truth but Ned thinks the timing is all wrong. Mickey comes back from unpacking and Janae supports Ned by asking Mickey to come to the garage with her and Ned. Mickey, excited, races off and Janae assures Ned he’ll be fine.
No 28 - Lounge: Rachel is desperate to get Zeke & Lolly to talk to her again that she makes fun while Karl snores. Zeke makes an excuse about the blog for Rachel to leave and then tells Lolly he has not intention of letting Rachel off without some sort of revenge. Zeke has hold of Rachel’s toy Crispy and wants to use Sky’s video recorder to plan Rachel’s humiliation. As they leave Susan comes into the room and wakes Karl who is exhausted from all the pressure of work. Susan sends Karl out to work, reminding him of all the reasons why he has to earn the money.
Carpark: Karl sleeps in the car and is only woken by a call from Davo checking how he is doing. Karl lies he is onto another appointment but after ending the call soon realises the case with all the medical drug samples is missing from the back of his car. Ringo wants to help but after Karl remembers one of the last things he remembered was talking to Carmella, Ringo fears she has taken the drugs case. Ringo checks the fruit & veg Ute but Carmella is nowhere to be seen.
Carpenter's Mechanics - Workshop: While Janae aided by Ned look at a car’s engine, Mickey sits in the drivers seat pretending to drive. Ned urged by Janae tries to chat with his son but it is so awkward that Janae sends Ned off to get a car part. Mickey innocently tells Janae that Ned is really ‘stiff’ but Janae assures Mickey that Ned can be a lot of fun. Janae goes over to Ned as she sees him calling Kirsten and persuades Ned not to ask her to come and get Mickey.
Erinsborough Hospital - Paul's room: Paul & Elle are playing cards while they discuss his homecoming. Paul wants a party to celebrate with his friends and neighbours but Elle is determined to avoid this and advises against it for his health sake. Making a hasty exit, Elle misses a phone call from Gail but Paul answers the phone. He is confused when Gail accuses him of playing games and stunned when Gail hangs up on him.
Carpenter's Mechanics - Workshop: Mickey is in awe as he watches Janae train on her punch bag. Ned is not keen on Janae’s suggestion he spend time with Mickey boxing and walks off. Janae goes after Ned telling him she is struggling to get him to relax around Mickey and that he needs to value the time he has with his son before Kirsten returns. Ned agrees he can wait until Kirsten’s return before telling Mickey he is his father with her. Ned returns to Mickey to give him pointers on how to box as Janae watches on.
No 28 - Lounge: Lolly & Zeke finish filming a hostage video of Crispy as Susan & Karl return. Karl is adamant that he hasn’t left the drugs case in the house but Susan finds it. She questions if working for Davo is worth all the stress but Karl answers her question by leaving for his 4.30pm appointment.
Carpenter's Mechanics - Workshop: Ned spends time with Mickey boxing while Janae in admiration looks on. She joins in on the fun, encouraging Ned’s bonding.
No 28 - Lounge: Lolly & Zeke watch on as Rachel opens an attachment on her email account to see Crispy is being held hostage. They question if Rachel is okay and deny they are involved in stealing the toy pony. They get Rachel to admit she has to have the toy to get to sleep. Overwhelmed, Rachel goes off to find Ringo, believing he must have stolen to toy.
Erinsborough Hospital - Paul's room: Paul tests Elle to see if she has contacted Gail but Elle lies again and this time Paul reveals he has spoken to Gail himself and demands to know why Gail was so abusive to him on the phone. Elle tries to pacify her father by telling him she was trying to protect him but Paul wants answers. Elle tells him he is a good person and Paul asks her to call Gail to get her to come to Melbourne to sort out their differences.
No 30 - Carmella's bedroom: Ringo is leaving a message on Carmella’s phone as he searches her room, fearing she has stolen Karl’s case of drug samples. Rachel walks in to find him and is suspicious. Ringo explains it away as losing something Carmella borrowed and Rachel launches into blaming him for stealing her pony. Ringo tells her he has done no such thing and that he has more important things to worry about.
The General Store: Susan tries to get Karl to rest for a few minutes before rushing off again for work. She reminds him that working so hard has meant she has delayed the visit they planned to see his father in the nursing home. Karl is angry at himself for missing the visit and leaves for work despite Susan’s pleas. Susan says hello to Ned & Janae and is introduced to Mickey as the son of a friend from Oakey. Mickey tells her sadly his mother is from Oakey. He is not from anywhere. Mickey leaves the table to go and see Jake outside and Janae takes the chance to tell Ned she thinks he is warming to Mickey. Ned agrees. Mickey rushes in to tell them Jake has gone missing.
No 28 - Lounge: Susan tells Ned he can search her back yard in case Jake is around Audrey and he leaves to search. Susan notices Rachel has been crying but she dismisses it as being about watching a sad film. Ned returns with no luck in finding Jake and Susan only irritates him with questions about Mickey’s parents. After he leaves Susan & Rachel comment on how Ned seems to be over reacting.
No 30 - Lounge: Rachel tries to get Ringo to explain further why he is so concerned about Carmella. Ringo tells her it is private and Rachel believes he doesn’t trust her enough to tell her – Ringo tired of the argument, snaps at Rachel there are more important things than her.
No 22 - Lounge: Janae tries to reassure Mickey about Jake returning home with the story about Audrey walking from Adelaide to get home to Susan. Mickey isn’t convinced but Janae vows Ned will sort it. Ned comes home with Jake and Mickey is overjoyed.
No 22 - Lounge: Janae returns from getting Mickey off to sleep to find Ned on the phone to Elle. After he hangs up, Ned explains he and Mickey are going to have to move out of No.22 the following day as Elle is returning home with Paul & Gail is arriving from Tasmania. Janae is unhappy with this and the solution being Ned & Mickey move into Lassiters. Ned receives a call from Kirsten who tells him that she is leaving Mickey with him for another week but the call ends abruptly. Ned tells Janae he fears Kirsten may never return for Mickey.
