• Libby walks in just as Dan is threatening to smack Ben

No 30: Dan explains that losing his temper made him threaten to smack Ben. Libby is shocked and walks out of the room. Dan tells her that he would never hit Ben, but Libby remains unconvinced.

Erinsborough Veterinary Clinic: Miranda arrives at the vet’s, clutching a goldfish in a bag. Awkwardly making small talk with Steve, she asks if she can hide Mickey’s new fish, which is a birthday present, with Steve in the surgery. She invites Steve to the party, but he makes excuses about being busy.

No 30: Guiltily sewing badges onto Ben’s scout uniform, Libby confesses to Susan that she feels like a bad mother and has been unable to sleep. Libby recounts Dan’s outburst of anger towards Ben, shocking Susan. Knowing that Dan would never hurt Ben, Susan suggests that Libby is struggling to share Ben after having him to herself for so long. Susan even admits to having hit Libby on occasion, but always regretted it. They agree that Libby is being too hard on Dan, and that Libby must ask herself why.

Lassiter's Lake: Dan and Lucas race each other, coming to a breathless halt. Dan blames his failure on his lack of sleep, and Lucas reassures him that Ben and Libby will forgive him. Lucas admits that he is steering clear of women.

Erinsborough Veterinary Clinic: Alone, Steve is watching the goldfish swimming round the bowl, when Lucas arrives, offering to service his car. Steve claims to be unable to leave the fish alone as it’s depressed, an opinion which is affirmed by Lucas.

Charlie's: Libby finds Dan here, and enquires how the run went. Forgiving, Libby says that Dan always thinks of other people and would never hurt anyone, and apologises for overreacting. Dan admits his guilt, and tells Libby that he knows what it is like to be on the receiving end as his father was very heavy handed. Libby admits to being jealous of Dan’s instant blokey bond with Ben, and the pair make up.

Harold's Store: Sass compliments Tegan on her figure, embarrassing her. Sass encouraged Tegan to show off her legs in a shortened school uniform to help her fit in and be part of the gang. Their conversation is interrupted by raucous laughter from Susan, Miranda and Rebecca’s table, causing Teagan to comment pointedly on how well dressing provocatively has helped Sass fit in. Rebecca invites her friends to dinner with Andrew, tactlessly encouraging them to bring their partners, causing some awkwardness with Miranda. Paul overhears and tries to gain an invite, but the women ignore him. Sensing Rebecca and Andrew’s relationship is going well, he calls one of his employees and asks him to dig up the Andrew Simpson story.

No 22 - Living room: Miranda appears on Paul’s doorstep, to persuade him to give her a job at Lassiter’s. On seeing his open laptop, she implores him not to run the damaging story about Andrew as Rebecca will never forgive him. Paul states that Rebecca still hasn’t forgiven him about Kirsten yet, so he feels he has nothing to lose. Miranda asks him to prove Rebecca and all his critics wrong, but he just asks her to leave.

Lassiter's Complex: Leaving Harold’s, Paul is confronted by an angry Rebecca. She tells him to publish his story, so he can see how little it will affect their relationship. She tells him to go to hell, and storms off. Sass tells him that while Rebecca doesn’t deserve him, she is right about him.

Erinsborough High - Corridor: Tegan’s uniform is noticeably shorter, causing ridicule from Kyle. Simon tries to protect her, but teagan sticks up for herself, saying that anyone who picks on a fourteen year old girl must be pretty sad. When Libby tires to intervene Tegan says that everything is fine. Simon is impressed, but wonders why his sister cannot stand up to their mother.

Erinsborough Veterinary Clinic: Steve and Lucas are watching Mickey’s fish again. Lucas speculates that the fish needs a friend, and the two men try to convince themselves that the fish is independent.

No 32: Andrew is messily cooking dinner to impress Rebecca’s friends. She breaks the news that Paul is intending to run a negative story about him. He appears unconcerned, as with Rebecca by his side he feels able to face anything. Flirting and joking about house rules, Andrews stuns Rebecca by asking her to move in with him. After a successful dinner, Susan and Miranda compliment Andrew on his cooking. As soon as he has left the table, they congratulate Rebecca on having such a talented boyfriend. Rebecca reveals his proposition, provoking much excitement. Rebecca is less enthusiastic, admitting to having reservations about rushing into anything.

No 22: In stark contrast to Rebecca’s evening of domestic bliss, Paul is eating a takeaway meal alone.

Erinsborough Veterinary Clinic: Lucas and Steve are still watching the fish, and start ruminating on Elle and Miranda. Hungry, they order a pizza, and agree to keep Zippy the fish company.

Harold's Store: Simon proudly tells Sass that Tegan stood up to the school bully that day, but all their mother cares about is the fact that Tegan has lengthened her dress again. Tegan protests that her provocative image has made her a laughing stock and that she hates looking like that. Paul tries to interrupt, but for once Sass prioritises her family and tells him to go away. As the family leave, Simon pockets an abandoned iPod, watched by Paul.

No 32 - Kitchen: While cleaning up after their dinner party, Rebecca avoids the issue of moving in with Andrew. Eventually, she agrees to move in but she is visibly less enthusiastic than Andrew.
