After realising that Charlotte Stone, who had arrived as the new doctor at the Erinsborough Medical Centre several weeks earlier, was a con artist, the people of Ramsay Street contacted the police. Senior Constable Peter Griffiths arrived to question them about the situation but Charlotte’s receptionist, and lover, medical student Boyd Hoyland, had already worked out that she was a fraud – and that she was responsible for the murder of her accomplice Terrence Chesterton – and helped her to escape from town, ultimately planning to trick her into confessing.
