The wife of Dorothy Burke’s brother, Russell, Petra visited Ramsay Street to bring her daughter, Tiffany, also known as Lochy, to childminder Kerry Bishop. Some months later, Russell and Petra left Australia for an extended trip to Papua New Guinea, with Lochy and her older brother, Ryan, staying behind with their Aunt Dorothy, who moved in next door to Kerry and her husband, Joe Mangel, on Ramsay Street. After a few months, it became clear that Russell and Petra would be staying on permanently in Port Moresby and Lochy went to live with them. The following year, Ryan also flew out to visit his parents, where he broke the news that he’d joined the army.
