Following a feud with Erinsborough High new girl Amber Turner, Cassie Nicholls was shocked to suddenly find herself go from the popular girl to social pariah, as the entire school sided with Amber. Cassie then disappeared, failing to arrive for school and leaving her parents Gary and Jennifer frantic with worry. Realising that the feud was ridiculous, Amber eventually managed to track down Cassie, who had been feeling very sorry for herself, and made her see that they could still be friends and forget about silly popularity contests on social media. Gary and Jennifer were very relieved when Amber then walked into the school with Cassie in tow, and the girls and their parents agreed to help with the school's new contract, warning the kids of the pitfalls of social media.
