Father to Melanie Pearson, Bill came to Ramsay Street on the morning of his daughter’s wedding to Joe Mangel. As his wife flapped around, trying to make suggestions about the bride’s hair, Bill made sure to keep quiet and out of the way, offering to make tea for everyone rather than get involved in the chaos. Later, when Mrs Pearson and their other daughter, Justine, left to check the flowers at the church, Bill chose to stay behind to play with Joe’s adoptive daughter, and flower girl, Sky Bishop. Although a quiet man, Bill still managed to make a speech at the wedding reception and kept his wife under control long enough for them to see the bride and groom off for their honeymoon.
