Recap
• Toadie breaks up with Sindi
• Darcy and Dee kiss

Darcy's Apartment - Kitchen: Darcy follows Dee, pointing out that she kissed him back. She is flustered, saying that she is confused and on the rebound. When he pushes, she says that there may be a chance of them getting back together when she sorts herself out, leaving him satisfied.

No 30 - Hallway: Toadie follows Sindi to the door, assuring her that his feelings were genuine at one point. She kisses him on the cheek and leaves.

No 32 - Living Room: Summer watches Max work, saying that Boyd’s peers will never forgive him if he drops out of hosting the party. She starts to comb over Max’s bald spot when Boyd and Heather return, Heather being allowed to attend the party on the condition that it is supervised. With this notion in mind, Max instantly changes his tune and wants to know how many people to buy food for. Heather leaves and Boyd thanks Max before Max and Summer tease him about a developing pimple.

The Coffee Shop: Next morning, Toadie enters and sees Sindi sitting alone before joining her. She says that she is not bothered about breaking up and he asks if they can stay friends, to which she agrees. She mentions leaving an earring at No. 30, and because he is booked up all morning, he gives her a key to let herself in.

No 32 - Living Room: Boyd is still stressing about his pimple when Max answers the door to Susan. She gives him tips on chaperoning before Max invites her to join him that night, irritating Boyd further.

No 30 - Kitchen/Porch: Dee is packing a box of her possessions, apologising to Bob that she cannot stay, when she hears someone come in. Thinking it is Toadie, she greets him before Sindi enters. Assuming that Toadie gave Sindi a key as the next step in their relationship, Dee is cold while Sindi attempts to be nice. Outside, Dee takes a moment to gather herself before moving on.

Lou's Place: Sindi is telling Darcy about Toadie still pining for Dee, and that Dee looks like she is feeling the same.

No 32 - Living Room: Boyd is on the phone to Max, telling him that he cannot go to the formal that night. He hands Summer the phone before letting Heather in. It transpires that they are both bailing because of their spots.

Lou's Place: With Summer relating the events to him, Max says that there will be no after-party if neither Boyd nor Heather goes.

No 32 - Living Room: As Summer tells them this, Boyd and Heather agree to go and keep a low profile.

Darcy's Apartment - Living Room: Darcy returns home, finding a certificate in the post for the completion of his hypnotherapy course at University. He answers the phone to Nancy Bliss, Dee’s grandmother, who passes on a message about Dee coming to stay with her. Dee exits the bathroom after her shower, and he gives her the message. She reassures him that she is not trying to get away from him before mentioning Sindi being at Toadie’s house. Pretending not to know this, Darcy suggests she move on from the past, telling her that he has changed and he wants her to be happy.

No 32 - Living Room: Max and Summer are finished decorating for the party, Max calling Boyd out from his room. Boyd enters in a tuxedo, questioning the gaudy decorations and party food. As Max prepares the camcorder to film him, a tape begins playing of Steph and Summer at the mother-daughter fashion show, making Max gloomy.

Park: Now alone on the road, Steph is setting up camp when she stops and looks thoughtful. Seemingly coming to a decision, she starts to pack up her things again.

Lou's Place: Toadie and Darcy order soft drinks to bring to the party, where they are also chaperoning. Toadie says that it should take his mind off things before asking about Dee and starting to call her. Darcy is then forced to explain about her trip, trying to turn Toadie away from the hops that she is re-evaluating their break-up. With the drinks, they leave for the party, Darcy looking annoyed.

No 32 - Living Room/Garden: Wearing black bouncer T-shirts, Darcy, Toadie and Max discuss what scandal could happen at the party when Summer says that people are arriving. With Max allowing her to stay up a little longer, they start to bring the guests in. Boyd immediately takes Max aside to say that tight security is not necessary before announcing that the party is outdoors where there are no adults. Susan arrives and Boyd is more embarrassed with a teacher there…Outside, people are dancing, eating and kissing while Boyd leads Heather away for privacy. The adults, meanwhile, stay inside to discuss restrictions on “pashing”…Some time after the party has ended, Max wakes up on the sofa with Summer asleep in his lap. He checks his watch before sniggering at Toadie and Darcy, sleeping beside each other and snoring.

Ramsay Street: Later that morning, Max and Boyd are clearing out the rubbish when Heather arrives to help clean up, thanking Max for the successful party. She and Boyd leave to get started, and Max looks up as Steph pulls into the street on her motorcycle. Dropping the bag of rubbish, he grins widely as she takes off her helmet and smiles back at him.
