Episode Title: Do The Fight Thing

• Steph tells a disappointed Toadie, Harold & Boyd how the council has rejected some of her building plans and the memorial graffiti wall for Stingray

• Paul doesn’t want Gail to leave him alone with Elle as he doesn’t trust or like her- Elle overhears

No 22 - Kitchen: Gail tries to reason with Paul that he should want to be around his own daughter but he feels no obligation towards Elle. They realise Elle has overheard when Sky greets Elle from behind them. Gail tries to play down Paul comments but he explains to Elle that he feels like this, as she has done nothing but lie to him.

No 30 - Lounge: Oliver tells Carmella he still loves her but she tells him she is so unhappy that it put her back into using drugs to stop her from realising they had serious problems.

No 22 - Kitchen/lounge: Elle makes it clear she has done so much for Paul even though he never remembered her birthdays as a kid, stayed out of contact and that she was the one who returned to Erinsborough to be with him as she still loved him so much. Paul questions her truthfulness even now but Elle assures him anyone could validate, how much he was hated and in the end, even by her. Steph & Toadie walk in from the backyard to find Elle yelling at Paul to leave her house and he plays it down to them. Frustrated, Elle storms out of the house.

No 30 - Lounge: Carmella admits to Oliver she only took the drugs a couple of times and he cannot believe he never realised – Carmella reminds him he was preoccupied with Elle but admit he should have noticed. They realise they both are in a bad place and wonder how they will ever get past caring for each other even as the relationship ends.

No 22 - Kitchen: Paul doubts Gail’s advice he should go after Elle, as he still cannot see why she lied to him. Gail reminds Paul that he needs to remember that Elle is a product of the love they had and he owes it to her as a father.

Ramsay Street: Elle sits in her car. Rachel walks with Ringo and makes comment to his dark mood but he puts it down to her about to go on a visit to see Katya in Adelaide. Ringo sees Carmella by her car and goes to talk to her despite Rachel’s opinion he should leave her alone. Ringo questions Carmella about her chat with Oliver but she tells him she’d rather not discuss it. Feeling she may have hurt Ringo’s feelings she takes his hand in hers and reassures him she isn’t angry with him - Rachel however feels a pang of jealousy at this interrupts to check all is okay. Carmella explains she is off to see a doctor later on in the day to discuss her addiction problems but spots Elle sitting in her car. Changing the subject Carmella still offers Ringo a driving lesson later and he accepts. Carmella excuses herself to walk over to Elle as she starts the engine on her car. Carmella informs her that she & Oliver have split up – Elle tries to look sympathetic but Carmella is under no illusion that she thinks this is great news before walking off. As Elle prepares to drive off she sees Oliver walking down the street with all his bags ready to pack and they both take a moment to look at each other. Then Elle hears her mother calling after her and Elle decides it’s time to leave and Gail is left looking on as she drives off.

No 22 - Kitchen/lounge: Steph, Toadie with Boyd & Sky enter the kitchen slightly fearful they would walk into Paul & Elle’s argument but find no one there. As they decide it is time to leave the party as the BBQ is out of food and gas, Paul renters the room and tries to encourage them all to stay on, commenting on Sky & Boyd’s daughter still looking hungry – Sky corrects him that Kerry is Dylan’s and Paul is reminded of Elle, knowing of her previous relationship with Dylan. Paul asks to hold Kerry and becomes a bit emotional about not remembering holding Elle as a baby. Feeling awkward the party guests insist they have to leave and Paul suddenly feels very alone.

No 30 - Lounge: Oliver and Rachel arrive back with plans to have lunch together when they see Oliver packing his things. Ringo offers to move out of his bedroom if Oliver wants it back but Oliver is in mood for pleasantries and accuses Ringo of secretly wanting, even encouraging the break up as he wants Carmella himself. Ringo denies it but as Oliver leaves he reminds him that Carmella is very much a woman and he still a boy. Ringo tries to justify things to Rachel but she dismisses it by deciding she is going to make lunch.

Lassiter's Hotel - Reception: Elle is on the phone to a supplier threatening to pull her account with them when Gail arrives and makes reference to how similar to Paul she is. Gail asks Elle to return home with her to Tasmania but Elle explains she has put too much work into running Lassiters to walk away. Gail tries to reason that she doesn’t need to be there and in her opinion the business seems to corrupt those inside it eventually. Elle vows she is nothing like Paul in that respect and she doesn’t even want or need him in her life as she is focused on her career. Gail assures her a career is not everything but Elle just wants her mother to assure her Paul will have moved out of No.22 by the time she gets home.

No 30 - Lounge: Ringo denies to Rachel Oliver’s allegations and insists he is there to help Carmella. Rachel suggests he is ‘hounding’ Carmella as a way of dealing with his inability to help Frazer recover. Ringo becomes angry telling her he’s never pretended to himself that he can help Frazer walk again but he can help Carmella and will. Rachel is left confused at his reaction towards her.

Lassiter's Hotel - Room 638: Outside the room, Elle is with two of the housekeeping staff after being alerted by them someone is in the room after it should have been vacated. Elle knocks asking the occupant to open up but when there is no answer she calls for security and opens the door herself to find Oliver, head in hands, sitting at the foot of the bed. Elle calls off security and sends the staff away. Oliver tells her he’s made a mess of everything but Elle is unhappy to find he has chosen a hotel so close to her to have a ‘meltdown’. Elle decides it is best she leaves him alone but Oliver asks her to stay. Elle is unsure.

The General Store: Steph finishes a call from Adam with bad news that her new sign for the bar is too bright and the council have refused to allow her to use it. Boyd thinks it is not a big deal but Steph, egged on by Sky, thinks it is time she challenged the council on it. Toadie however arrives with news that could make Steph think again and asks them all to follow him.

Scarlet Bar - Exterior wall: They all arrive to find someone has started to graffiti art the memorial to Stingray onto the wall despite the council’s refusal to do so. Sky admits she knew Caleb was going to start to do it, as he wanted to say thank you to Stingray. Steph agrees it should stay but Toadie tells her it could damage her election chances and they leave, still discussing the right and wrongs of the wall.

Lassiter's Hotel - Room 638: As Oliver resigns himself to his break up, Elle mentions about her difficult day at home and asking Paul to move out. Elle reveals how Gail asked her to move back to Tasmania but she has decided to stick around even if she believes as Paul told her, that she in unlike able. Elle admits Paul only said those things as he cannot remember but tells Oliver it still hurts her feelings. Oliver gives her a reassuring hug and they both joke that they still hate each other.

Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting area: Carmella comes out from her appointment to find Rachel waiting for her. She is stunned when Rachel explains she fears Ringo has a crush on her and that she wants her as a friend to back off from him al little. Carmella agrees it is the right thing to do.

No 22 - Lounge: Gail arrives home to find Paul waiting for her with news of Elle. Gail comments on how she found Elle dealing with the crisis by going to work, just like he used to. Gail explains how Elle has asked him to move out but she has refused to accept it, as he needs to be there to sort things out with Elle. Paul asks if he can return to Tasmania with Gail but Gail is not keen on the idea. Paul explains he feels so lost in his life in Erinsborough and that she is the only link to something familiar he has.

Lassiter's Hotel - Room 638: Elle & Oliver joke about having a life as perfect as the TV adverts show as they each lunch. Oliver jokes that a life that ordinary wouldn’t allow Elle to get the 7 free facials she had under the name of Angela Bowers. Elle is shocked that he sussed her out but he explains he used to watch 80’s sitcom ‘Who’s The Boss’ where she took the name from.

No 22 - Lounge: Gail tells Paul him coming to Tasmania will only allow him to run away again from his problems and that Elle is only angry with him and doesn’t really mean she wants him out of her life. Gail pleads with him to realise if he walks away now he’ll regret it for the rest of his life.

Lassiter's Hotel - Room 638: Elle & Oliver joke about how their privileges in life allow them to take advantage a little. Oliver throws his napkin to the floor suggesting someone else will pick it up. Elle throws her napkin at him and he gets her back by dabbing chocolate mousse on her cheek. It soon escalates into Elle throwing food at him and he grabs hold of her to stop. As they embrace, Oliver kisses the spot where he smeared the mousse on and then they kiss.

Ramsay Street: Ringo, sitting on the bonnet of Carmella’s Ute, is pleased when she finally arrives after keeping him waiting for his driving lesson. Carmella however tells him that she thinks he should find someone else to teach him as she has allowed him to come too close to her and her problems. Upset, Ringo accuses Oliver of setting this up as a revenge tactic but things get worse when Carmella tells him she isn’t going to work with him any longer either. Furious Ringo grabs her handbag and takes the Ute’s keys from it. Carmella watches on as Ringo drives off.

• Elle confesses to having had 7 free facials under the name of Angela Bowers in the Lassiters Spa. The name is taken from a character played by Judith Light in American sitcom ‘Who’s the Boss’ that ran from 1984-1992
• Natalie Blair’s voice is dubbed over in much of the final scene due to a sore throat
