A waitress enters the kitchen with some dirty plates - Elle tells her to get out. Paul gives up trying to explain he's innocent and storms out telling Elle they're finished. Elle calls the cops.

Charlie's: Paul enters just as Rebecca is putting some flowers in a vase. Rebecca thanks him for the flowers and starts to talk about their change in plans for tonight. Paul tells her he has something to say and it's not good news but before he gets the chance to say it the police arrive. Paul is led away by them leaving Rebecca stunned.

Erinsborough Police Station - Interview room: Senior Sargeant Morris begins questioning Paul. Paul admits that he was with Jill when she was run over and starts to have flashbacks to the accident of him rowing with Jill. Senior Sargeant Morris wants to know why he was there, Paul says he wanted to make Jill see sense. Paul answers "no comment" to all the questions.

Charlie's: Rebecca tells Elle that Paul needs them now and stands up to leave Charlie's. She holds her hand out to Elle but Elle refuses to go with her.

Erinsborough Police Station - Exterior: A car pulls up, inside it are Toadie, Rebecca, Susan and Dec. All four get out and head for the police station but are immediately swamped by the media. She tries to make her way through them but can't and Susan eventually pulls her back to the car. Dec ushers her into the car whilst trying to stop the press from taking photos.

Harold's Store: Steve and Ringo are just leaving for the gym when Lucas approaches Elle saying he's just heard about Paul. Lucas tells Elle she's done the right thing.

Erinsborough Police Station - Exterior: Paul is leaving the police station with Tim and is swamped by the same journalists that previously hounded Rebecca. Paul starts to lose his temper with the journalists saying they should "crawl back under a rock". Between them, Tim and Dec manage to get Paul through the crowds and into Dec's car. Once in the car Dec bluntly asks Paul if he did kill Jill. Paul says he didn't.

No 22 - Donna's bedroom: Donna and Sunny are in Donna's bedroom discussing love notes that Zeke keeps leaving around the house for Sunny. Donna says she wishes she has someone to love her, in particular Ringo. She admits she's not over him.

No 26 - Living room: Rebecca and Susan are in the living room having a coffee when Paul enters. Susan makes excuses to go through to the kitchen to give them space. Rebecca admits to Paul she doesn't think he killed Jill. Rebecca breaks down in tears so Paul hugs her.

Erinsborough High - Classroom: Donna is needing the ladies but is refusing to leave the room until Ringo goes as she wants to avoid making eye contact with him. She keeps getting Sunny to look around to see if he's left. Eventually she has to admit defeat and leaves. Sunny works out that Ringo still fancies Donna and starts plotting to get them back together.

No 28 - Living room: Susan is on the phone to Anne when Elle knocks at the door. Susan makes her excuses and finishes her conversation with Anne to speak to Elle. Elle checks that the Erinsborough News is not covering this and Susan says that she refused the opportunity of the story. Susan says that if Elle has doubts about her fathers guilt then she needs to think like a journalist and dig deeper.

No 22 - Kitchen: Lucas comes home as Elle is on the phone trying to get information from someone about the accident. Elle makes it clear she wants to believe Paul's innocence but can't.

Charlie's: Steve and Toadie are discussing the pros and cons of single life over some beers when Rebecca and Paul enter. Paul tells Toadie he's just fired Tim and wants Toadie to take on his case. Toadie agrees to do this.

Erinsborough High - Corridor: Sunny is trying to stick some flowers on Donna's locker when Ringo sees her. Ringo at first thinks that Sunny is sending Donna the flowers and thinks that Sunny and Donna are gay! Sunny quickly sets him right and says that the flowers are from him to Donna.

Erinsborough High - Corridor: Donna is staring at the flowers that have mysteriously appeared on her locker. Sunny asks her who sent them, Donna thinks it's Kyle. Sunny tries to put her off that idea but Donna says there is no-one else. At that moment Ringo, who has been hiding behind the door, appears and Sunny says that Donna is going to be harder work than they thought.

No 22 - Living room: Susan calls around to see how Elle is. Lucas is on the phone trying to find something that will help Paul. He hangs up the phone admitting he might have something and looking rather pleased. He has been speaking to a mate who owns a garage in the area Jill lived in and he had a Ute come in for repair that looked like it had been in an accident and fits the description of the Ute that killed Jill.

Carpenter's Mechanics: Susan, Lucas and Elle are examining the Ute which is now repaired. Just as they do, the owner of the Ute approaches and is immediately suspicious about the three of them, wondering why they're so interested in his car. Elle works out that this is the owner of the Ute and the guy runs off with Lucas giving chase. Lucas catches him and the guy or "moron" as Lucas calls him tells them that he didn't mean to hit her. The guy describes Paul down to a tee and says that he pushed Jill in front of the car.

Charlie's: Rebecca, Toadie and Paul are discussing the case just as the police call in to the bar. Senior Sargeant Morris calls Paul over and the Police leave the bar with Paul in tow.

No 28 - Living room: Rebecca storms into Susan's house looking for Elle who is sitting on the sofa. Rebecca admits Paul has been arrested and she's furious with Elle. Susan admits that Elle was trying to put things right and get Paul off the hook so told the police everything she knows. Susan starts to tell Rebecca that Paul didn't hit Jill but is interrupted by Rebecca saying "no of course he didn't!" Elle then goes on to finish that although Paul didn't hit Jill, he did push her in front of the car but she doesn't know if it was deliberate or not. Rebecca storms out of the house.
