Brett Holden 2015
Occupation: Art Supplies Shop Assistant

After a quiet time in his love life, and having been accused by Sheila Canning of being a coward and not wanting to take a risk on a new relationship, Nate Kinski agreed to a night out, with Toadie and Kyle as his wingmen. In a piece of good fortune, Sheila happened to be holding an LGBTI fundraising event at The Waterhole, and Nate spotted a guy, Brett, that he like the look of. When Brett's friend Sam went to the bathroom, Nate and Brett got talking, whilst Kyle did his best to keep Sam occupied when he returned from his bathroom trip. After chatting after their interests and careers, Brett and Nate managed to hit it off, and Nate later reported that he'd managed to get Brett's number and they were going on another date.

When they met up for drinks the following week, a nervous Nate was alarmed when he spotted Alistair Hall across the bar. Nate had mistakenly flirted with Alistair a couple of weeks earlier at The Waterhole, and Alistair had reacted badly, making it clear that he wasn't gay. Worried that Alistair was going to make another scene, Nate kept his eye on him, struggling to pay attention to Brett as he talked about an exhibition he wanted to see. Eventually, Brett had had enough, saying that he'd been with guys with wandering eyes before now, and he wasn't going to be with someone like that again. As Nate struggled to explain, Brett then left the bar.
