In 1992, Rick Alessi and Debbie Martin won tickets to a Michael Jackson concert in London, but with their parents at war over their relationship, it seemed unlikely that they'd be allowed to go. So, after enlisting the help of Debbie's gran, Helen, and Rick's big brother, Marco, the four of them ended up going, with Helen lying that she was taking Debbie to the outback. In London, Helen was taken ill, while Marco disappeared with loan sharks on his tail, so Debbie and Rick ended up with lots of time to themselves. When a young boy snatched Rick's camera, they chased him and ended up at Highbury, Arsenal Football Club's home ground. After realising that the boy, George, had been stealing to try and raise the money for his dying brother, Terry, to go to the Michael Jackson concert, Rick and Debbie gave them their tickets and ended up appearing on a television chat show, The Casey Butler Show. Unfortunately, when their return home was delayed by Helen's illness, the producers of the show, believing the kids were now back in Australia and had come clean, released the episode for international transmission and Debbie's stunned stepmother Julie learnt how her entire family had deceived her.

In 2007, Karl Kennedy and Susan Kinski planned a trip to London to visit their son, Malcolm. When their original flights fell through, they ended up missing out on seeing Mal and his wife, Catherine, who were taking a holiday themselves, but they managed to enjoy themselves anyway, and Susan was thrilled when Karl proposed to her. The trip was spoilt, however, when they bumped into Izzy Hoyland, the woman Karl had a relationship with during his years apart from Susan, who was heavily pregnant and had just separated from her married footballer boyfriend, Pete Gartside. Though Susan knew that Izzy's baby was Karl's, he was unaware of this, but Susan still did her best to help Izzy, reuniting her with Pete. Karl then surprised Susan with a wedding gown and an invitation to meet him for a wedding ceremony on a boat on the Thames. The day was only marred by Izzy, who turned up determined to tell Karl the truth, but suddenly went into labour, and Karl was forced to deliver the baby, a little girl named Holly.

Also, in 1986, Ruth Wilson called Jim Robinson and was in her home in London, while in 2005, Melanie Pearson, Hannah Martin, Sam Kratz and Malcolm Kennedy were all seen in London during the 20th Anniversary Documentary.

Trivia Notes
• Despite negotiations, Neighbours was ultimately unable to film at the Michael Jackson concert in 1992, which meant that the original scripts were rewritten to include them giving away their tickets
• Helen's illness and Marco's disappearance allowed the characters to only appear in interior scenes, so only Dan Falzon and Marnie Reece-Wilmore had to be flown out to the UK for filming
• Though Debbie, Rick, Helen and Marco were supposed to be staying at The Carlton Tower hotel, all interior scenes were filmed back in Melbourne
