Episode Title: Mary, Mary, Quiet And Scary
• Oliver admits to Carmella he’s attracted to Elle. Carmella tells him he has to choose between her and Elle, he can’t have them both
• Sky tells Harold she has decided she wants Kerry to come to the prison and live with her. Mary overhears and is clearly happy about the news
• Paul gets ready to go into theatre for his operation. Elle tells him she loves him and will be waiting for him
Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting Area: Elle sits alone waiting to hear news of her fathers operation. She looks at her watch and notices the time has just gone 8.30 in the evening.
No 30 - Lounge: At the same time Oliver is getting ready to watch the ‘footy’ with Pepper but is distracted unsure if he should call or text Elle.
Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting Area: As 11.30 pm approaches Elle has drifted asleep but is woken up as a nurse brushes past her. Elle asks for any news but the nurse has none except Paul is still in surgery.
No 30 - Lounge: Pepper is reading a wedding magazine and asks Oliver’s opinion about a dress for Rosie. Oliver however is still distracted and Pepper asks what is wrong. Oliver tells her not to worry.
Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting Area: At just past 2am, Elle is exhausted and fast asleep, not even the cleaner polishing the floor behind her can wake her up.
Goodwood Women's Prison - Visiting Area: Janelle arrives to see Sky and is introduced to Mary. Sky explains that her application for Kerry to be with her has been approved. Janelle is delighted at the news but has to explain that Harold is not coping with the idea of Kerry being with her, which is why he hasn’t been in contact. Sky asks Janelle to impress upon Harold that she wants Kerry with her. Mary reassures Sky, Kerry will be with her soon.
No 28 - Kitchen: Pepper explains to Susan she is ready to return back to school after getting over the trauma of her kidnapping. Karl comes out of the bedroom rubbing some of Susan’s moisturiser onto his face. Susan is appalled at the amount he’s using explaining it is expensive – Karl is then the one to be appalled when Pepper lets slip it cost $200. Pepper is put on the spot when Karl asks her to be honest and tell him how old he looks. She tells him he looks his age, 50, and no amount of cream will make him look younger. What Karl needs is to change his lifestyle with a new diet and exercise regime.
Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting area: Oliver arrives to find Elle still asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he takes off his jacket and lays it over her. He then lovingly strokes her hair.
The General Store - Kitchen/shop: Harold explains to Lou that his new lawyer has explained he has little chance of winning guardianship of Kerry but Lou reminds him Sky could be released soon – Harold however isn’t so sure now that Sky isn’t denying she murdered Terence.
Janelle fired up from her meeting with Sky bursts in to tell Harold how upset Sky is with him and he is being cruel. Harold explains he just wants to protect Kerry and do the right thing for Sky. Janelle tries to reason with him and offers to take Kerry to Sky herself. Flustered, Harold leaves with Kerry making the comment he wished other people would stay out of his business. Lou and Janelle both agree that Harold is desperate to cling onto Kerry as she is the last family member around him he has. Despite this, Janelle is determined to make Harold realise Kerry needs to be with Sky.
No 28 - Lounge: Susan returns from collecting the washing from the backyard to find Karl finishing setting up his new exercise equipment including weights and a bike. Susan jokes about how much money he is wasting but is serious when she warns him about getting it stored into the garage rather than their lounge. Pepper arrives, curious to see what Karl has bought and is in awe of the model he’s selected. She asks if she can use the equipment occasionally and Karl agrees if she’ll become his personal trainer. Pepper accepts and Karl wants to start training immediately. After he goes to the bedroom to change, Susan worries where this latest fad will take them. Pepper however is so excited to use the equipment.
No 24 - Back garden: Harold is walking with Kerry in his arms as she sleeps when Bree pops her head over the fence asking him for some gardening advice. Happy to oblige, he lays Kerry back into her pushchair and wanders over to Bree. With Harold distracted, Janelle sneaks into the garden and quietly pushes the pushchair out of the yard. With Janelle gone, Bree changes the subject to Harold giving Kerry to Sky. Harold admits he has been wrong and tells Bree he’s going to take Kerry to Sky this afternoon. Bree explains Janelle has just taken her.
No 24 - Driveway: Harold and Bree run to try and stop Janelle but despite their pleas, she drives off with Kerry. Harold is upset at not being able to say goodbye.
Goodwood Women's Prison - Sky and Mary's cell: Locked in their cell, Sky is desperate to make a call to Harold but Mary tries to reassure her that Janelle will no doubt sort things out. Mary nearly lets slip about knowing Harold’s good nature and is keen to impress upon Sky that yelling at the guards could risk her chances to have Kerry with her. Sky agrees and thanks Mary for all she’s done. Mary rather sinisterly comments that Kerry brings out the grandmother in her.
Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting area:Elle wakes up and walks over to the nurse’s station to ask after Paul, but there is still no news. Elle turns away and spots Oliver sitting away from anyone else. He explains he wanted to be there for her but understood she wouldn’t want to see him. Elle however breaks down and Oliver comforts her.
No 28 - Lounge/dining table: While Karl exercises on the bike, Susan taunts him by eating a large slice of cake. Pepper tries to keep his attention on the exercise and moves him onto weights. But Susan suggests he should just accept how he is and stop trying to please Davo. Karl retorts back she is just jealous that he naturally looks younger than her. Sensing banter is turning to anger, Pepper decides to take Karl out for a cool down jog. Alone, Susan decides to see just how heavy the weights are but on lifting one she doubles over in agony after hurting her back.
Goodwood Women's Prison - Visiting area: Sky cuddles Kerry and thanks Janelle for getting Kerry to her. Mary is ecstatic and seems to be consumed with Kerry. But her world comes crashing down as Mary learns Sky and Kerry are moving to the family ward and desperately asks Sky to see if she can go with them as a kind of surrogate grandmother. Sky agrees to ask.
Erinsborough Hospital - Paul's room: Elle sits by Paul’s side as he sleeps. He looks peaceful but all his head is bandaged up. Oliver returns with coffee for them and Elle explains she has spoken to the surgeon who told her the operation went well but there is a chance Paul may never wake up.
Elle raises the question that if the tumour was causing the hallucinations it could also explain why all the bad things he’s done. Oliver agrees that they’ll have to wait to see if bad Paul was really a medical condition.
No 28 - Lounge: Susan is struggling with her back as Janelle confides in her about feeling bad at hurting Harold over Kerry. Pepper arrives back ahead of Karl and Janelle explains she has spoken to Allan who if furious that no one inside the police told him about her kidnapping. Janelle tells her he sends his love and a hug. Karl arrives, very much out of breath and Pepper tells him he needs to really be training everyday to have any effect. Susan’s sniggering lets slip her injury and Karl realises she’s put her back out using his weights. But the moment is taken as Bree arrives to tell Janelle the news that Harold really was going to take Kerry to Sky. Because she didn’t stop she took away Harold’s chance to say goodbye to Kerry.
The General Store: Lou tries to reason with Harold that he has not hurt his relationship with Sky over Kerry, knowing how Sky feels about him. Janelle with Bree, arrives with an apology and hug for Harold. Harold asks after Sky and Janelle tells them she is fine and being looked after by her cellmate Mary. Overhearing the conversation, Pepper questions if it is Mary Casey? Janelle confirms it and Harold is aghast at learning Mary is the one who kidnapped Pepper. Worse to come is the realisation that Kerry could be in danger.
Goodwood Women's Prison - Sky and Mary's cell: Sky returns to her cell with Kerry to tell Mary the news that she cannot join them in the family ward. Mary is desperate but unable to do anything. The prison guard arrives to tell Sky Harold is here to see her. Seeing a chance to spend time with Kerry, Mary suggests Sky leave her with her in case Harold wants to take Kerry away. Sky agrees and leaves Kerry with Mary. Mary tells Kerry she is not going to lose her.
Goodwood Women's Prison - Exercise area: Sky is met by an anxious Harold & Janelle who hurriedly explain how Mary could be a danger to Kerry – Suddenly the prison alarm goes off and a guard announces the prison is in lockdown as a riot has started. Sky runs towards her cellblock to try and get Kerry.
