Albury
Who moved here: Maggie Hancock, Evan Hancock, Matt Hancock, Leo Hancock, Emily Hancock

The second largest inland city in New South Wales, Albury was home to Maggie Hancock's parents. When the Hancock family were forced to sell their home to cover legal bills, after Evan's son Matt was involved in an illegal drag race, they upped sticks and moved to Albury.

Byron Bay
Who visited here: Darren Stark

Situated close to the border with Queensland, Byron Bay is a town in the north of New South Wales, popular with backpackers. It was here that Darren Stark mentioned that he was planning to head to after leaving Erinsborough in 1998. In 2002, Bishop Don McDermott announced that he would be moving Reverend Rosie Hoyland to a parish in Byron Bay, though after protests from the locals, the plans were dropped. In 2005, Elle Robinson lied to her mum that she was leaving their home in Tasmania to go to Byron Bay with a friend, when she was actually going to visit her dad in Erinsborough.

Coffs Harbour
Who came from here: Madge Mitchell, Charlene Mitchell, Fred Mitchell, Susan Cole, Sam Cole
Who moved here: Susan Cole, Sam Cole
Who lived here: Cappy Cole, Merle Cole, Kevin Cole, Bob Cole, Greg

The home town of the Mitchell family, it was here that Madge and Fred Mitchell raised their children, Henry and Charlene, and ran their hardware business. Charlene lost her virginity to Greg here, later falling pregnant and deciding to have a termination. The Cole family also had a farm nearby, and daughter Susan worked for Fred, later having an affair with him and falling pregnant. After learning of this, Madge left for Erinsborough and Ramsay Street, the cul-de-sac named after her ancestors. Charlene soon followed, as did Susan, who had since given birth to baby Sam and needed help. Before long, Fred was also in Erinsborough but Madge decided not to give him any more chances.

Narrabri
Who came from here: Bronwyn Davies, Sharon Davies, Gordon Davies, Edith Chubb
Who lived here: Bill Davies

Located in northern NSW, Narrabri was home to the Davies family. After escaping the family fold, Bronwyn Davies moved down to Melbourne where she found work as Jamie Clarke's nanny, and was soon joined by her troublesome younger sister Sharon, who was sick of her boring life in Narrabri, always at the beck and call of dad Gordon and brother Bill. The sisters were alarmed when their fussy Aunt Edie then came down from Narrabri to keep an eye on them, making regular visits and eventually buying 30 Ramsay Street and spending a few months living there.

Sydney
Who came from here: Nicola West, Steve Parker, Miranda Parker, Riley Parker, Bridget Parker, Daniel Fitzgerald, Samantha Fitzgerald
Who moved here: Taj Coppin, Benito Alessi, Cathy Alessi, Mark Gottlieb, Ben Atkins, Saxon Garvey, Taylah Jordan, Diana Murray
Who lived here: Jordan Lambert, Yvonne West, Julian Murray, Roger Garvey, Geoff Burke

New South Wales' capital was rarely mentioned on screen, due to the rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne - Neighbours' home city - until the early 90s. When Cathy and Benito Alessi moved there in 1993, a group of the neighbours visited soon after, searching for runaway Michael Martin. Others to have moved to Sydney over the years include wannabe filmmaker Taj Coppin, chef Mark Gottlieb who scored a slot on a lifestyle series, lawyer Diana Murray and mechanic Ben Atkins who moved there to get to know his real father, Geoff. Teacher Tess Bell also briefly moved to Sydney after leaving Erinsborough, before settling in the UK. Boarding schools in Sydney were also a popular choice for the parents of Erinsborough, with both Saxon Garvey and Taylah Jordan moving there to study, while Chloe Lambert's youngest, Jordan, also visited between classes at her expensive boarding school.

In 2007, the Parkers - Steve, Miranda and Bridget - moved to Erinsborough from Sydney, later joined by Bridget's brother, Riley and, the following year, by Miranda's scheming younger sister, Nicola West. After a spell in Erinsborough in 1999 and 2000, Daniel Fitzgerald spent seven years off-screen, during which time he married Samantha and they moved to Sydney. He returned in 2007 as the marriage crumbled due to her bi-polar disorder, and she turned up in Erinsborough six months later.

After his return to Erinsborough in 2005, Paul Robinson mentioned that his ex-wife Christina now lived in Sydney with their son, Andrew.
